The Rolling Barrage PTSD Foundation / The Rolling Barrage received a letter in the later part of April 2023 from Ontario Provincial Police. It was directly from Thomas Carrique, O.O.M. Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police.
The Rolling Barrage PTSD Foundation had written the OPP to thank them for their support during The Rolling Barrage in 2022 and the policing support and escorts through the province of Ontario. Our Police Liaison, Mark Doratti and Scott Casey – Founder of The Rolling Barrage were addressed directly by the Commissioner. Below is the narrative of the letter.
Thank you for your letter of March 6, 2023, in which you express appreciation towards Ontario Provincial Police members for their assistance with the sixth annual cross-Canada motorcycle pilgrimage to help combat Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
It is always a pleasure to receive complimentary letters about our members, especially when their actions make a lasting impression. I appreciate being informed of the assistance provided by our members. I commend them for their professionalism, dedication, and teamwork. A copy of your letter and this response will be forwarded to the appropriate commanders.
I wish The Rolling Barrage PTSD Foundation continues success in raising awareness about mental health and helping ensure first responders have access to the necessary supports.
Thank you again for writing.
Yours truly,
Thomas Carrique, O.O.M.

What a fantastic letter and it is greatly appreciated coming from the Commissioner who is very busy providing leadership to the 2nd largest police service in Canada. The Ontario Provincial Police are a highly valued first responder service in the province and to The Rolling Barrage during our annual ride.
We look forward to continued support with the Ontario Provincial Police understanding that our needs come secondary to their already busy summer schedules as quite a wide area of northern Ontario for example is busy with tourism, cottagers, localized communities policing, and a major highway that really connects eastern Canada and Ontario to the western provinces and vice versa.
But to that point, they have always found a way. Including OPP officers putting on a uniform and helping even on their scheduled days off.
Riders, participants, supporters of The Rolling Barrage, this August while on the ride take the time to say hello to our OPP escort who are with us and thank them personally for providing the support, they afford to us. We are positive it will be well received and goes even further to strengthen our relationship with them now and into the future.
We believe the number of riders we have doing The Full Pull or just riding in Ontario in particular will pleasantly surprise them.
Again, thank you Commissioner Carrique, and all Ontario Provincial Police members who help us.
