From Martin Spriggs
I have a fantastic story to tell but I need your help! I am collaborating with John Barnes, best seller author, to make a full-length, feature documentary of the First Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment’s actions during Operation Medusa in the Panjawii in 2006.
It’s a gutsy story of Canadian soldiers in battle during what General Rick Hillier has stated is “…part of our history as a nation, akin to Normandy, Pachino and Hong Kong, in terms of courage; service and toughness”.
All funds raised will be split between travel costs to interview Canadian veterans who fought in the battle and to purchase newsreels from the battle.
All funds not used in the creation of the documentary will be donated to Homes for Heroes, the charity supported by the proceeds from John Barnes best selling book, White School Black Memories. Help me tell this story.
