The Carpenters Regional Council, located in Woodbridge Ontario has graciously donated $5,000.00 to The Rolling Barrage PTSD Foundation. The Carpenters Regional Council – Ontario is composed of 31 affiliated Local Unions representing over 50,000 workers in a variety of skilled trades from Ontario to British Columbia.

Mark Lewis described that coming to a decision to support The Rolling Barrage PTSD Foundation is exciting in that it is an organization that moves across the country and supports the military and first responder communities. He believes that future support can be maintained and looks forward to a great relationship with The Rolling Barrage PTSD Foundation.
In previous years of The Rolling Barrage, Mike Humphries, who is also a member of Local 27 Carpenters Union, has visited The Rolling Barrage at some point along their ride through Ontario and contributed a donation on behalf of the Union to The Rolling Barrage.
For 2023, Mike Humphries and another member of Local 27 Carpenters Union who is also a veteran, will be driving a truck and trailer and meet The Rolling Barrage in Kingston Ontario as the ride progresses through the province. They are probably going as far as Thunder Bay. Along the way, they will be available to riders, supporters and the local community to discuss the trades within the Carpenters Union and enrollment programs that are available to veterans and family members. They will also be able to discuss an initiative that the Carpenters Regional Council supports; Helmets to Hardhats (Canada).
The mission of Helmets to Hardhats (H2H) is to support Veterans, reservists, senior cadets, military family members and Afghan Nationals with an enduring relationship to Canada in finding a meaningful second career in the unionized construction industry. H2H builds civilian careers for the military community by simplifying and expediting the process for Veterans to continue serving their communities, this time, through the skilled trades and apprenticeship opportunities.
