There are many tactical details of the events for each day between these stops that are still being worked on. Please be patient as we work to sort those details out and final routes with turn by turn expectations will be available likely in July.
This is a massive undertaking and there is much work to do as we get bigger and bigger. We are always looking for support and assistance.
Please follow our socials or sign up for our email list (at the bottom of every webpage) to get information as we get it sorted out.
If you have any urgent questions or concerns please reach out at the details in our CONTACT page.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in August 2022. Hotels are being hammered out and will be released as soon as they are firmed up. Can’t wait .
Jim lead bike
I’m already excited and looking forward to a few legs. Maybe even more, doubt with current situation at work that I’ll have larger bike but definitely going to get at least Ontario leg in and maybe east coast to north bay. Talking to Cameron Gregory this morning
Hi John, Roger here. This would be my first year in the ride, and have just noticed the dates posted. And if I’m correct I’m also noticing that you’re in N. Bay, like I am, and that you might be able to ride from the start back here. If you’re riding out to the start and you’re up for some company let me know. Out for the day can be nice on one’s own, but on a longer trip to the coast some company would be nice. I’m sure that I noticed someone else that might be from N. Bay too. Who knows, we might just be able to have a small group heading east.
Take care John & looking forward to chatting with you soon
All registered and looking forward to seeing everyone in Halifax.
K9 Bennie and I can’t wait to see you all rolling in again!
We will be meeting you in North Bay and riding to Thinder Bay
Most excellent
– Rob
Look up Bunk a Biker Canada ….
Hi Kathy,
I am familiar with Bunk a Biker, but we try to obtain group deals at hotels to always stay together. Bunk a Biker (in my experience) is for a bike or 2 of people.
Individuals are free to choose other options than our arranged hotels if they so desire. We try to find a place that can accommodate us all, and that can provide a venue for evening social activities and meals. Usually we are booking 20+ hotel rooms for our travelling pack.
– Rob
can t wait for this
Hope to meet up in Orillia and ride to North Bay. Lets hope for good weather.
Hey
I don’t see exact stop points, ie, addresses. I’d like to join in Kingston.
The information is on the route guide. available as a link on both the main and Route pages of the website
Looking forward to the ride. I’m living on Vancouver Island and plan on meeting up in Okotoks for the rest of the trip west. Also looking forward to getting the hotel list. I assume we are responsible for making the booking?
Hi Tom,
Yes, we will announce the hotel that we have made a deal with to get a bit of a deal for participants, and announce those for people to make their own arrangements. We don’t have the capacity to make the arrangements and facilitate people paying.
– Rob
I’m on the Island too. Planning on joining in Saskatoon….can’t wait.
Note that there is nothing between wandering river and fort Mac for stops. Like zip, nada…. (I found out the hard way) lol
Hi Darcy,
Our National Road Capt is tracking all the leg distances – 203 kms. It is over 8000 kms from coast to coast, can’t stop every hour – sometimes we go for a couple hours.
– Rob
Yep. Understood. Just passing along personal experience. All good! 🙂
It would have been excellent to of had the rolling barrage come through Edmonton or at least partway through lots of support in this city, lots of publicity
Hi Paul,
We are passing near Edmonton and staying in Stony Plain. We have gone to Edmonton for 2 of our previous years (of the 5 we have done so far), and there are many factors – including traffic for large bike packs, our police escorts, and which side of town we need to be on to make miles the next day etc.
The Alberta team will be working on the tactical details of the turn by turn route, which I envision gets pretty close to Edmonton city limits.
– Rob
From Halifax to Sault Ste Marie ON. This year
Most excellent to hear. Looking forward to seeing you.
– Rob
This will be my first ride with the rolling barrage, I will be riding in memory of my fallen brother who lost his battle with PTSD. I’m hoping to spend three days with the ride.
Although we are saddened to hear about your brother, we are honoured you would join us. Many others have joined us on the road to ensure the memory of their loved ones is not lost. Please consider reaching out to our email address if you would like a leg (that you are joining us on) dedicated to him, and we can help facilitate it.
We end every safety brief with a dedication.
-Rob
I will be taking part on the last 3 days of the ride starting in Cranbrook. I would like to dedicate the ride from Cranbrook for my brother in arms, Shawn Gillis.
Amazing! We look forward to having you along and sharing your dedication with us, whether privately or publicly.
Fantastic plans so far. I really hope to join in the ride this year. Can you give me some info on how to do the whole ride, or at least from Alberta to BC? I live on Vancouver Island.
Hi Ken,
simple answer – keep an eye out here on our website, or our social media outlets – we hope to have an email newsletter going routinely soon, so you can subscribe to that at the bottom of every webpage.
We will announce registration, and you can register online – then ride out to meet us for however many days you wish to join us for. If you want to do the whole ride, it just means getting to Halifax before the August long weekend.
All the pieces you need will be advertised in the coming months – we wanted to get our dates out now for people planning vacations.
If you have a specific question – drop us an email or note via our contact page, message to our social etc.
– Rob
How do people get to Halifax to start the ride. Do you put the bikes on a train, or do you ride alone to Halifax, then ride west?
Salut Andre,
It is a complete mix – some people ship their bikes, some people ride them east to turn around and ride west.
We will be putting out some news about what people have in past years in the coming months. Most of the really far west guys have shipped through the dealer network.
Last year, there was last minute discussion of some trailer options for people to ship bikes, we hope to investigate those earlier this year and spread the news where we get more details.
Keep an eye on our NEWS, subscribe to our newsletter (which will be starting up soon), and keep an eye on our socials for information when it happens.
-Rob
I am new to this site. I am a Veteran and will be doing a few legs for sure . I am leaving Edmonton on my Triglide and driving to NL and returning in August.
Hi David, I’m in N.B., and planning a ride to NL sometime in July, going up to St.Antony and back down to St.John and then Argentina ferry back to Sidney, would love to perhaps meet up with you, and perhaps a couple of legs on the ride, I’m retired so the time is my own.
After 2 summers of no riding, one due to health issues and the next due to knee surgery, I am really looking forward to riding with the Barrage from Sault Ste Marie to Winnipeg this year!
That is great to hear – we are doing it a little different this year, and not a big one day ride. So, it should be a nicer day.
Looking forward to you joining us.
– Rob
Sound like lots of fun…can’t waite to find out more!
Can’t wait to see everyone again! Too bad Jasper got bypassed this year, but will adjust where I meet up with with the Barrage!
Had the honour of doing the NB to WPG portion last year and enjoyed every single second. Organization and comradery was 2nd to none and hope to start in HFX this year. Hopefully, no tornados this year…😂
On your way back from BC: would you consider stopping in Olds AB at Olds Legion Br 105.?
Hi there,
would you be able to reach out to our email therollingbarrage@gmail.com and touch base there so we can track this conversation better. I wouldn’t want us to lose track of this conversation.
– Rob
Looking forward to another trip across Canada. Heading out from Calgary and will meet up in Kingston the enjoy the ride to BC…
I’m going to join this year from Stoney Plain to Burnaby. This is the first time on the ride and really looking forward to it.
You have chosen the most exciting roads of our trip. It won’t be disappointing.
– Rob
Is there a particular reason why NL wasn’t included. From my initial view the ride starts in Halifax and ends in BC. Canada starts at one coast or the other ( not including the north coast), which means the extreme east coast which is NL and not Halifax. It is a short ferry ride to NL (6 hrs across) then a 9 hr drive across the centre of the island. Return trip you can go through Argentina NL to North Sydney, NS. A day across, a day riding around St John’s and then a two hour ride to catch the ferry back to NS for a total of 3 days.
Hello,
The reason we haven’t been able to include NL is logistics and organization.
We worked hard to make it part of year 1, and only had 1 local rider join us. Since then, we haven’t had anyone volunteer to help us organize the Rock as our starting point.
It was substantial expense, in both money and time for the riders that went that way.
We need someone to carry the torch to make a splash for us. If that interests you for future, please email us at therollingbarrage@gmail.com
We can’t organize by 1000 mile screwdriver – without local interest, knowledge, and support, adding 3 days to a 20 day ride from a distance isn’t work we are capable of doing yet.
– Rob
Enjoyed riding with you guys last year through Southern Quebec.
Planning to join you again this year.
Keep up the great work you are doing!
great to hear.
spread the word, bring friends…. 🙂
-Rob
I am looking to do the full pull and am seeing if there is anyone looking to split double room.
This looks like an amazing ride. I can’t do the whole route this year, but will probably do my best to join the BC portion.
The BC portions are quite an epic part of the ride, maybe cross Canada next year.
– Rob
Cant wait to do the full pull this year. Last year I did from halifax to Quebec. If I would of had better tires I think I would of kept going.
That is great to hear.
We look forward to it.
– Rob
Plan on meeting up with the ride in Neepawa MB and going to Vancouver BC. I think the rest of the Red Deer UN-NATO group may meet up with you in Saskatoon
Looking forward to joining the ride again this year. I joined with my Brother in Law last year 2021 in Jasper and road to the coast. Fantastic experience and my first time riding in a large group. Although it was a bit intimidation at the beginning, I soon got used to the process and settled in. We’re planning to join in Saskatoon this year and thank the organizers for making this ride happen.
Navy veteran and going to be a first time bike rider and can’t wait to participate in such a great event .
Looking forward to meeting you on the ride!
I am looking for a list of hotels from Halifax to North Bay. Do you have a list?
The hotel list is still being finalized. It should be out in the next two weeks.
Hope you are all doing well. Any update on hotels?
Enjoy your day.
Cam
They’ve just been released on Facebook
Hi All,
I’m a retired CAF Vet & only discovered TRB after it happened last year & have just noticed that this year’s dates are posted. I would really like to be able to do the entire trip this year. And for me it might turn into a double trip as I have a bud out in NS & could be persuaded to ride the return trip back home to North Bay.
I’ve wanted to do a cross country ride for a long time & with the cause behind TRB this seems like a perfect fit. I’m looking forward to this already.
Will plan to join the ride from North Bay to Sault Ste Marie this year….
Looking forward to having you join us!
Maybe I’ll cya Roy…
VVV
Looking forward to this again riding from Saskatoon to Vancouver
Looking forward to having you join us!

We are aiming for a 1 May registration date
Looking forward to joining the ride in Bonnyville and carrying through to Okotoks. Any idea when registration will be open?
We are aiming for a 1 may registration date
Wow, can’t believe I haven’t heard of this before. Veteran living in BC, going to try to sort it out to join the last 2-3 legs. Definitely going to reach out to some Brothers and Sisters to see if they wanna join in too!!!
Look forward to meeting you on the ride!
I am thinking of doing the ride from Saskatoon to Calgary as I will be attending the FSSF reunion in Calgary this year. will need info on where in S’toon to meet up.
Absolutely, you will get all that information from the Route guide which will be published in July prior to the ride. As an estimate, the meeting time and place is 7AM at the hotel.
what?? driving by Calgary….I know we’d luv to see you here….
WE LOVE DRIVING BY CALGARY!!! The Firedepartment welcome on the outskirts of the city is one of the most spectacular welcomes we encounter on our ride! GO CALGARY GO!!! WE LOVE YOU TOO!
Just registered! Where do I find the list of hotels?
They are listed on The Rolling Barrage facebook page.
Where can I find the hotel list?
found it
I registered for Stoney Plain to Burnaby. It says to bring the email confirmation but I haven’t received on. When will they be sent out or should I have received one by now?
Make sure you check your spam/junk folder for the confirmation email from orders@therollingbarrage.com
I am contacting you for my son who wants to ride with you representing me/ I am a disabled vet. He is just recovering from a serious accident and would only be able to ride half a leg-to Okotoks! Would you contact me to let me know where your break would be and he could join you there! 1 would also like to purchase 8 shirts when available-2-2x,3xl,3lg. I donate to you every year in Okotoks and will do the same this year! Look forward to seeing you all again and please let me know when I have to pay for his rate and the shirts! His name is Kelly Douglas and he rides a Harley!
Hi Graham, we don’t expect any of our riders to be a vet or a first responder to join us. Your son is absolutely welcome to join us for half a leg and we look forward to meeting up with you in Okotoks. The store will be opening on the 26th of June and the registration is available online. We would ask that Kelly himself register, however if he does not, he must understand and agree to abide by our code of conduct and safety protocols. Thanks for reaching out and hopefully Kelly will enjoy his time with us.
I am so looking forward to doing two legs with you guys this year. I really enjoyed the trip last year.
Next year! I’m in! Will plan holidays around this!
